What we’ve done with your opinions on YOUR Neighbourhood Plan

Massive thanks for the great return on the Housing Needs Survey. We managed over 30%, which is classed as very good. We’re currently analysing the results and will feedback to you in the next few weeks.

In the meantime, here is the feedback you gave at the Consultation Event, and this is what we’ve done.

Issues Arising from the Cardington Consultation Event, 21st January, 2020.

You said:
We want to retain all green spaces, including The Green. They are fundamental to the character of the village.
We will incorporate this into the Neighbourhood Plan.

You said:
We want existing businesses to be protected
We will incorporate this into the Neighbourhood Plan.

You said:
We want any new housing to respect the openness, density and architectural character of the village and be on brownfield sites.
We will incorporate these views into the Neighbourhood Plan

You said:
We would like the architectural style of any new build to be in keeping with and sympathetic to existing dwellings.
We will pursue this through the Architectural Assessment.
We’ve consulted all villagers on their housing needs and will update you once we receive your feedback, (late March 2020).

You said:
We’d like a blue plaque to be considered for Howard’s House.
We will explore the feasibility with the building owner.

You said:
We want a Tourist Information Board for The Green.
We are looking into the feasibility.

You said:
We would like village notice boards kept up to date and relevant.
We have given your feedback to the board owners – the Parish Council and the Village Hall Committee.

You said:
We’d like a Cople to Cardington footpath.
This is outside our remit, but we have given your feedback to the Parish Council.

You said:
We want action taken to reduce speeding.
This is outside our remit, but we have given your feedback to the Parish Council.*** We have also* passed this directly to the Local Policing Team for action.

You said:
We’d like pedestrian crossings on Harrowden Road and at the A421.
This is outside our remit, but we have given your feedback to the Parish Council.
